Job summary

SMX is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a key federal government client. The role demands deep expertise in federal budgeting, SAP ERP, and SAC, with a focus on planning, delivery, and governance.

You will manage a cross‑functional team of analysts, data engineers, and solution architects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality to achieve mission objectives while navigating regulatory requirements and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager leading complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven experience managing SAP ERP implementation and upgrade projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle and methodologies (PMP, Agile, Hybrid).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to manage and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
• US Citizen and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the full lifecycle of the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation project.
• Serve as the primary liaison between federal client stakeholders, SMX teams, and third‑party vendors.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
• Maintain a strong understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud to guide the project.
• Lead a cross‑functional team of analysts, data engineers, and solution architects.
• Provide regular status reports on progress, risks, and financial health.
• Ensure the solution meets client requirements, on time, within budget, and secure.
