Job summary

SMX is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation for a U.S. federal client. You will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of a SAP Analytics Cloud-based planning tool, coordinating with budget SMEs, designers, and developers.

The role requires federal budgeting expertise, strong communication, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. This is a 100% remote, full-time position with travel under 20% and US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager leading complex IT or financial system implementations.
• Proven experience managing SAP ERP implementation and upgrade projects.
• Experience managing projects for U.S. Federal Government agencies.
• Knowledge of PMP, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the full lifecycle of the CFO Control Tower BAS implementation project, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Serve as the primary liaison between federal client stakeholders, SMX teams, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan with tasks, timelines, and dependencies; manage risks and mitigation.
• Maintain a strong understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud and BAS functionality to guide the project.
• Lead a cross-functional team of analysts, data engineers, and architects to deliver capabilities.
• Provide regular status reports on progress, risks, and financial health to client leadership and SMX executives.
• Ensure the solution meets client requirements, is delivered on time and within budget, and adheres to security protocols.
