Job summary

The Wilkinson Firm is seeking an experienced independent GovCon capture professional to own the opportunity lifecycle from signal to award. This remote, part-time engagement pays hourly ($100-500) and includes quarterly travel to DC, with 10-40 hours per week and a strong emphasis on pursuit strategy and teaming.

You will identify federal opportunities, manage capture playbooks, coordinate proposals, and coach the Proposal Manager and GovCon team as the division scales.

Qualifications

• 7–15 years in federal capture, proposal mgmt, or GovCon BD.
• Track record of capturing $1M+ federal contracts.
• Located in DC, NC, GA or willing to travel to DC quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify federal opportunities across SAM.gov, forecasts, and prime/sub channels.
• Lead capture-to-proposal lifecycle, including strategy and gate reviews.
• Build partner relationships and manage government POC.
• Coordinate set-aside strategies (8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, SDVOSB).
