Job summary
Evans, Inc. seeks a Network Engineer to support FAA air traffic system deployments. The role involves remote work with ~20% travel to FAA and DOT sites, ensuring network installation, integration, testing, and commissioning in a mission-critical environment.
You will diagnose networks, coordinate site readiness, and collaborate with providers and engineers to ensure successful implementation across Windows/Linux environments and Cisco IOS/IOS-XE infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in networking, IT infrastructure, or field deployments.
- Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts (IPv4, VLANs, ACLs, TCP/UDP).
- Experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE environments, Windows and Linux tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for network deployment, integration, and commissioning activities.
- Serve as primary technical resource during live deployments and cutovers, guiding field personnel.
- Coordinate site readiness and deployment requirements and track prerequisites.
- Collaborate with engineers, providers, and site personnel to resolve network issues.
- Support hardware installation, integration, commissioning, and documentation.
