Job summary

Maritz Global Events is seeking an Operations Manager, Event Management to lead cross-market event teams and ensure top-tier execution of face-to-face, digital, and hybrid programs. The role emphasizes mentorship, process improvements, and strong collaboration with clients to meet specifications, objectives, and quality standards.

The position includes managing labor and T&E, reporting on SLA adherence, and guiding initiatives that drive client ROI while coordinating with internal services,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in Meeting, Events and/or Incentive Travel pre-sale and/or post-sale activities.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong organization, motivation, and communication skills to manage multiple teams.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization—internal, client, and partner.
• Experience working in events within a healthcare professional (HCP) environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and coaching to the team for all areas of event management across all markets and event types.
• Coordinate and facilitate regular team meetings and communications.
• Identify training/learning opportunities and ongoing performance coaching.
• Identify opportunities for ROIs on an ongoing basis.
• Responsible for accurate labor, time tracking and T&E within the team.
• Provide ongoing coaching and development conversations.
• Ensure timely and accurate T&E expense reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives to address business goals.
• Provide expertise regarding destination, hotel, and internal services.
• Monitoring and reporting for SLA adherence.
• Interact with client stakeholders answering questions and resolving issues.
• Support new initiatives & processes within company and EM.
• Support new employee onboarding and responsible for invoicing approvals.
