Maritz is seeking an Operations Manager, Event Management (SMM) to lead a dedicated team responsible for coordinating face-to-face, digital, and hybrid events. You will balance client needs, employee satisfaction, and program costs to drive operational excellence across programs.

You will work with the events management team and direct reports to maximize contribution margin while delivering high-quality experiences. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in event management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in Meeting, Events and/or Incentive Travel pre-sale and/or post-sale activities.
• 1–2 years of proven supervisory and/or leadership experience.
• Strong organization, motivation, and communication skills to manage multiple teams.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; internal, client, and partner.
• Experience working in events within an HCP environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide mentorship and coaching to the team for all areas of event management across all markets and event types.
• Coordinates and facilitates regular team meetings and communications; identify training opportunities and ongoing performance coaching.
• Identify opportunities for ROIs; manage labor, time tracking and T&E within the team.
• Ensure timely and accurate T&E expense reporting and assist in initiatives to address business goals.
• Provide expertise on destination, hotel and internal services; monitor SLA adherence and coordinate with client stakeholders.
• Support new initiatives and onboarding, including invoicing approvals and process improvements.
