Job summary

Cosmo is hiring tutors for 1:1 lessons with ESL students based in Asia. This independent contractor role offers a base rate of $20 USD plus bonuses. Tutors will provide personalized instruction, prepare lesson materials, and communicate professionally with students and parents.

Preferred candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience. Flexibility is key, with classes typically scheduled between 5-9 AM EST, Monday to Friday. A reliable internet connection and a quiet location are also required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K‑12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
