Job summary

Huntress is seeking an Equity Administrator to manage the equity program for a remote-first team. You will own the cap table, grants, vesting, and employee transactions from approval to final settlement, partnering with Legal, Finance, People, payroll, and leadership.

This role requires hands-on Carta experience, understanding stock options, and the ability to explain equity concepts clearly. You will use AI tools to streamline drafting and record review while safeguarding sensitive data.

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on experience administering an equity program in Carta.
• Understanding stock options and employee lifecycle events.
• Experience reconciling equity records with payroll and accounting data.
• Ability to explain complex equity topics clearly to non-experts.
• Track record of working with Legal, Finance, People, payroll, and leadership.
• Discretion with sensitive financial, legal, and employee information.
• Use of AI with good judgment to improve speed and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cap table and equity award records in Carta, including grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, and departures.
• Coordinate grant approvals, documentation, and transaction workflows with Legal, Finance, People, payroll, and leadership.
• Reconcile Carta records against approved grants, payroll data, and accounting records; investigate discrepancies.
• Support equity-related reporting, audits, valuations, board materials, and other time-sensitive needs.
• Answer employee questions about equity awards and transactions with clarity and discretion.
• Build and maintain procedures, controls, and improvements as the program grows.
• Use AI tools to work faster on drafting, research, and record review while protecting confidential data.
