Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Med Grp PB Coder II to accurately resolve coding edits in Epic WQ and assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation. You will maintain data integrity for internal and external reporting and respond to coding inquiries within established timeframes.

The role requires CPC/CCS-P certification, proficiency in E/M coding, and strong knowledge of physician billing and revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P certification required.
• Experience in professional fee coding including Evaluation & Management (E/M) services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of physician billing and healthcare revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and resolves coding edits in Epic Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up queues.
• Assigns ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation and orders.
• Escalates coding/denial trends and provider education opportunities.
• Navigates Epic EMR, reports, and queues.
• Communicates with providers via Epic in-basket and email.
• Adheres to departmental protocols.
• Uses MS Office, Kronos, ServiceHub, and encoder tools.
• Meets or exceeds productivity standards.
• Participates in continuing education for anatomy, terminology, and coding guidelines.
