Job summary

Emerus Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Records Coder to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for Emergency Facilities, Inpatient, and Ancillary services.

You will review clinical documentation to extract data, apply HCPCS and facility E/M codes for billing, and capture charges for laboratory, radiology and procedures. Qualified candidates have 3+ years of coding experience, HIPAA knowledge, and proficiency with EMR systems such as EPIC, Cerner or PICIS; English fluency is

Qualifications

• 3+ years coding using ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and CPT codes
• Experience coding emergency or hospital ancillary services preferred
• HIPAA guidelines knowledge required

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply ICD-10-CM and CPT codes including IV infusion and injection codes
• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply HCPCS and facility level Evaluation & Management codes for billing
• Abstract and code diagnoses and procedures from health records using appropriate classification systems
