Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Coding Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the coding department. You will supervise caregivers, address coding questions, and drive QA audits while identifying operational improvements.

EPIC PB Resolute experience and CPC/ CCS-P credentials are required. You will monitor Epic coding work queues, manage staffing and productivity, coach staff, and ensure timely charge entry to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPC or CCS-P certification required.
• Experience in professional fee coding, including E/M services.
• Two years' professional fee coding experience with supervisory and Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coding functions in Epic; monitor WQs, in-basket, inpatient note reports and charge entry.
• Interview, onboard, orient and coach caregivers; draft and monitor corrective action plans.
• Monitor staffing, coder productivity, QA audits, and adherence to protocols.
• Provide day-to-day coder support; manage schedules, timecards and staffing forecasts.
• Collaborate with Coding Managers and other departments to meet Medical Group goals.
• Utilize MS Office, Kronos, ServiceHub and Optum Encoder Pro as needed.
