Job summary

Qualifications

• Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent
• Required - CPC or CCS-P
• Required – Demonstrated experience in professional fee coding, including Evaluation & Management (E/M) services
• Preferred - Minimum of two (2) years of professional fee coding experience, coding for assigned specific specialty service lines, prior supervisory experience, and previous Epic experience

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the coding department including supervision of departmental caregivers
• Oversee QA audits and identify/participate in operational improvements
• Monitor Epic Coding WQs, in-basket messages, inpatient note report and timely charge entry to meet KPIs
• Participate in interviews, onboarding, coaching and corrective actions for staff
• Collaborate with Coding Managers and other departments to meet Medical Group objectives
