Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Coding Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the coding department in a fully remote capacity. You will supervise caregivers, address coding questions, and participate in QA audits and process improvements.

Responsibilities include monitoring Epic EMR/work queues, ensuring timely charge entry, onboarding staff, and coordinating with Coding Managers to meet KPIs. Strong accuracy and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CPC or CCS-P certification is required.
• Experience in professional fee coding including Evaluation & M and related E/M services is required.
• Preferred: 2+ years of professional fee coding, supervisory experience, and prior Epic experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coding functions and monitor Epic coding work queues.
• Supervise caregivers and participate in onboarding and coaching.
• Monitor staffing levels, coder productivity, QA audits, and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with Coding Managers and other departments to meet Medical Group objectives.
• Utilize Kronos, ServiceHub, and Optum Encoder Pro as applicable.
