Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a fully remote Epic Analyst to join our IT team in Texas. You will map and improve Epic workflows, analyze business processes, and prepare detailed documentation for requirements and testing.

The role involves user training, system configuration, and coordinating Epic upgrades. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in CS or related field, 3 years in IT/clinical settings, and proven Epic experience with strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years in IT or clinical environment with business analysis and documentation experience.
• Experience with Epic and other Healthcare applications.
• Project management experience and ability to work with users and vendors.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve Epic workflows and related processes.
• Perform workflow analysis and map critical business processes using best practices.
• Prepare documentation with diagrams, data models and requirements.
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and test thoroughly.
• Develop test plans, cases and scripts; execute testing and log results.
• Provide training materials and train users and trainers as appropriate.
• Explain system functionality to users and assist with system usage.
• Create and maintain product documentation including workflows and manuals.
• Coordinate change control and project status updates to users.
• Schedule and manage Epic version upgrades.
