Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled IT professional to map and optimize Epic application workflows within a fully remote environment. You will analyze clinical and business processes, document requirements, configure systems, and lead testing efforts from unit to user acceptance.

The role includes training users and maintaining comprehensive documentation. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, 3 years in IT/clinical settings, and experience with Epic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent knowledge.
• Typically 3 years in IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing and documentation experiences.
• Experience in Epic and other Healthcare applications.
• Project management experience with ability to use project management software.
• Ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision, to balance multiple tasks, be detail oriented, set priorities and accomplish assignments in a timely manner utilizing excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Map and analyze routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Perform workflow analysis and map critical processes using BPM techniques and best practices.
• Prepare documentation for business requirements with diagrams, data flows, and models.
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and test functionality.
• Develop test plans, cases, and scripts; validate performance of functions.
• Conduct unit, integration, system and UAT testing and track issues.
• Create training materials and train users; explain system functions.
• Maintain product documentation including workflows, requirements, specs, installation, manuals, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate project status and upgrades to clinic users; coordinate application version upgrades.
• Serve as a resource for assigned applications and assist with support and troubleshooting as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field
