Job summary

Pro IS, Inc. is hiring an entry-level Underwriting Support Assistant for a remote, full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm EST, with a lunch break). Training occurs during 8–5 EST, and you will support insurance clients with data entry, document assembly, and Excel-based analysis.

The position emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to work across client systems. You must be authorized to work in the US and reside in the lower 48 states.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Able to meet deadlines while handling multiple assignments.
• Experience with Word and Adobe software.
• Willingness to learn client-specific systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Enter policyholder information into client systems.
• Map property location to the nearest body of water.
• Compile documents to create final policy documents.
• Sort and filter data in Excel (states, vehicles, payroll, sales).
• Use formulas (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) to standardize data.
• Convert Word and PDF documents into Excel.
• Research business type and addresses using Google tools.
• Translate documentation from international offices when needed.
