Mission Underwriting Services seeks an Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting process remotely for U.S.-based clients. You will collaborate with Program Series Underwriters and brokers to ensure accurate policy processing and timely documentation, while mentoring teammates.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and adherence to underwriting guidelines. Remote work is offered with occasional in-office activities and US residency requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supporting commercial lines underwriters.
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years underwriting experience.
• Experience with PDFs, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Quote, bind, and issue policies and endorsements with underwriters.
• Maintain relationships with brokers.
• Prepare and review policy files for accuracy.
• Verify Broker of Record letters and underwriting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Prepare policies using PAS.
• Lead or assist in PAS testing and reviews with management.
• Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities.
