Job summary

Mission Underwriting Managers, LLC is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support our program administration and broker relationships. This remote US role focuses on accurate policy processing, client service, and collaboration with underwriters to quote, bind, and issue policies and endorsements.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in commercial underwriting or related insurance experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong skills in MS Office and PAS processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of underwriting experience.
• Experience in commercial insurance and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Underwriters to quote, bind, and issue policies and endorsements
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with brokers
• Prepare and review policy files and documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Request and verify Broker of Record letters and other underwriting documentation
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and SOPs
• Prepare policies for issuance using the Policy Administration System (PAS)
• Lead or assist in PAS testing and review initiatives with management
• Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
