Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Enterprise Resilience professional to strengthen the organization’s ability to anticipate, withstand, respond to, recover from, and adapt to disruptions across cyber, technology, and operational domains.

The role partners across Cyber Security, IT, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Emergency Management, and vendors to establish consistent resilience requirements, validate recovery capabilities, track gaps, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT program/project management; 5+ years in enterprise resilience.
• Experience with ransomware-resilient recovery, immutable storage, isolated recovery environments.
• Experience planning disaster recovery tests and tabletop exercises.
• Ability to translate resilience risks into clear actions for technical and business audiences.
• Healthcare experience preferred; regulated environments.
• Strong project coordination and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Knowledge of BIA, impact tolerances, crisis management, third-party resilience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain Critical Business Services and map dependencies.
• Define impact tolerances, RTOs, RPOs, minimum service levels, and recovery priorities.
• Plan resilience assessments, business impact analyses, tabletop exercises, DR tests, and simulations.
• Track findings and escalate material gaps.
• Enhance backup and recovery capabilities (Rubrik, Azure, SQL, Veeam).
• Improve ransomware-resilient recovery processes and secure restoration workflows.
• Build isolated recovery environment and automate restoration testing.
• Participate in DR exercises across teams to validate recoverability.
• Coordinate tabletop exercises to test decision-making and escalation paths.
• Support containment, response, and recovery during disruptive events.
• Assess third-party resilience and recovery commitments.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting for recovery readiness and resilience maturity.
• Create standards and repeatable processes to reduce manual effort.
• Promote resilience awareness among stakeholders.
