Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking an Implementation Consultant (Functional/Project Lead) to lead the functional and project management activities required to deploy our SaaS platform for enterprise utility customers.

This role ensures structured, well-coordinated implementations that deliver meaningful outcomes for organizations operating critical infrastructure. The role is client-focused and requires coordinating with Technical/Solution Consultants, Customer Support, Product Management, and Engineering

Qualifications

• 3+ years in implementation consulting, PM, or SaaS deployment roles.
• Experience leading enterprise software implementation workstreams.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into configuration and process solutions.
• Strong project-management with timelines and risk tracking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional implementation workstream for enterprise customer deployments from project kickoff through go-live.
• Own implementation timelines, milestone tracking, risk management, and coordination across internal teams and customer stakeholders.
• Facilitate discovery and requirements workshops to understand customer business processes, objectives, and success criteria.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, well-documented configuration plans, including hazard and task libraries, templates, workflows, and role-based permissions.
• Partner closely with Technical/Solution Consultants to ensure alignment between functional requirements and technical implementation activities, including integrations, SSO, data migration, and environment setup.
• Lead customer status meetings, steering committees, and cross-functional alignment sessions, fostering transparency and trust throughout the engagement.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting notes, decisions, and implementation artifacts to support repeatable delivery practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance and recommendations that help customers maximize value from the platform.
