Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking an Implementation Consultant (Functional/Project Lead) to guide enterprise SaaS deployments for Utilities & Energy customers in the United States.

You will own the functional workstream, drive project timelines, and ensure successful, on-time go-lives by coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams. The role emphasizes business-process alignment, configuration decisions, stakeholder engagement, and customer enablement to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in implementation consulting, project management, business analysis, customer success or SaaS deployments.
• Experience leading project or functional workstreams for enterprise software implementations.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into scalable configuration and process solutions.
• Proven timeline management, stakeholder engagement and risk tracking.
• Experience collaborating with technical consultants, customer stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills for workshops and customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the functional implementation workstream for enterprise deployments from kickoff to go-live.
• Own timelines, milestones, risk management, and cross-team coordination.
• Facilitate discovery and requirements workshops to map customer processes and success criteria.
• Translate requirements into configuration plans for hazard libraries, templates, workflows and permissions.
• Partner with Technical/Solution Consultants to align functional and technical activities (integrations, SSO, data migration).
• Lead customer status meetings and steering sessions; maintain project documentation and decisions.
• Act as trusted advisor to maximize customer value from the platform.
