Job summary

GitLab is seeking an engineering manager to lead the Switchboard team, owning the Tenant management product for Dedicated environments. The role combines frontend, backend, and reliability work with a focus on scalable, self-service workflows for our large-scale tenant fleet.

You will hire and mentor a high-performing remote team, align with a Product Manager, and drive architectural decisions and delivery with a strong emphasis on quality, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and owning large-scale distributed services.
• Experience with fleet management products and automated provisioning at scale.
• Experience delivering services with high availability and SLOs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fullstack Switchboard team for GitLab Dedicated’s customer-facing control panel.
• Hire and develop a high-performing team and coordinate with Product Manager.
• Partner with Tech Leads to guide architecture and unblock the team.
• Collaborate with Product and Design on UI direction for external users.
• Own planning with the Product Manager, priorities, dependencies, and quarterly epic.
• Ensure fast, high-quality, cross-functional execution across frontend, backend, UX, and writing.
• Drive quality, security, and performance improvements.
• Help enable GitLab Dedicated customers to manage tenant environments at scale.
