Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. is seeking an engineering manager to lead the Metadata team, owning APIs, catalog, lineage, and run history services. You will drive reliability, latency improvements, and new discovery features in collaboration with product.

This fully remote role focuses on coaching engineers and delivering high-quality data tooling. You will guide architectural decisions, oversee incident response, and partner with product to shape the roadmap while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality and

• Ability to review designs and code and make architectural trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a software engineering team, owning hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development.
• Own project delivery for the team against the quarterly plan with uptime and latency targets.
• Review designs and code and provide feedback grounded in the Metadata product area.
• Drive technical quality, incidents, tech debt, and post-mortems within SLA targets.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to maintain a prioritized backlog and high completion rate.
• Communicate the engineering vision and strategy to the team and adjacent teams.
• Ensure engineering processes are followed and foster a high-trust culture.
