The role emphasizes hands-on connection to production engineering with a primary focus on people leadership, execution, and continuous improvement in a complex financial services domain.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience directly managing engineers.
• Credible engineering background with shipping production software.

Responsibilities

• Establish clear pod priorities, ownership, and planning practices.
• Remove blockers and surface delivery risks early.
• Provide regular one‑to‑ones and constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with product and tech leads on priorities, roadmap and quality.
• Improve hiring, onboarding, autonomy, reliability, and postmortems.
• Stay close to code and production to evaluate plans and health.
