Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2, responsible for testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair at substations and PV facilities. This remote role requires heavy travel to diverse job sites across the U.S. and adherence to safety standards.

The position emphasizes directing testing teams, writing test reports, and ensuring safety and quality in all activities, with certification requirements as listed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Health and safety certifications required (OSHA 30, NFPA 70e).

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise site testing, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting as directed by management.
• Perform energized electrical work following safety standards and SOPs.
• Prepare and review complete test reports with technicians and trainees.
• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with NETA Standards.
• Lead safety training and policy development for testing activities.
