Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2 to manage testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities in substations and PV facilities.

This remote role requires heavy travel to varying jobsites and adherence to safety standards while coordinating with project teams and clients. The position emphasizes documentation and technical leadership to ensure reliable energy storage systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3–5 years as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics, troubleshooting, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Valid OSHA 30, NFPA 70e, STS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site testing, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting as directed.
• Perform energized electrical work following safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate test reports and documentation.
• Train and certify Testing Technician Level I personnel.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and teammates on site tasks.
• Maintain compliance with NETA acceptance and maintenance testing specifications.
