Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Acceptance Testing Technician, Energy Storage - Level 2, with responsibility for testing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in substations and PV facilities. The role is remote with heavy travel to varying job sites. Location specifics will be discussed during the interview process.

The position requires leading testing teams, ensuring safety, and delivering thorough test reports. Domestic travel 75% and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an electrician testing technician in substations or BESS yards.
• Ability to travel 75% of time.
• OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70e training are required.
• STS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority and enforce safety standards.
• Direct and supervise site testing, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting as directed.
• Perform energized electrical work in line with safety standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate documentation and required reports.
• Lead training and certify Testing Technician Level I employees.
• Develop and write SOPs and safety policies.
