Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to attend to service needs for customers in the assigned geographic territory and nationally as needed. The role requires remote work capability, self-motivation, and willingness to travel, with occasional overnight stays.

The FSE will perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, building trust with customers and promoting service agreements while supporting cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline is required.
• 2+ years of professional related experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems is required.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer needs; perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers and promote service agreements; identify sales opportunities for cross-functional teams.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training (6–9 weeks) within the first year; additional trainings as needed.
• Travel for customer visits with overnight stays as required; participate in on-call rotation.
