Job summary

bioMérieux is hiring a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the U.S. territory and nationally on an as-needed basis. The role emphasizes remote work, self-motivation, and overnight travel with a focus on delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

The FSE will perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and collaborative sales support while adhering to quality procedures. Training, on-call duties, and field service revenue growth are integral parts of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Foster teamwork across service and support teams while driving field service revenue.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year.
• Travel includes daily visits with overnight travel; on-call rotation ~every 5 weeks.
