Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner who will guide leaders on disciplinary actions, PIPs, and involuntary terminations, while collaborating with Legal, HRBPs, and ER teams. This role requires strong investigation skills, policy interpretation, and proactive trend analysis.

The ERBP will manage multiple cases, support work with Workday and ServiceNow, and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field with 2 years' HR/employee relations experience (master's or 6 years accepted).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience supporting leaders with disciplinary actions, performance issues, terminations.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws; union avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee relations matters with strong listening and investigative skills.
• Support reviews of disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and involuntary termination reviews using Workday and Service Now.
• Partner with ER team, HRBPs, Legal, and other departments to align recommendations with company values.
• Interpret policies to ensure consistent application and educate stakeholders as needed.
• Own assigned employee relations cases and document in case management systems.
• Analyze trends in employee relations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a positive employee relations environment and timely issue resolution with HR partners.
• Assist with information gathering for legal complaints and charges.
• Serve as a backup for ER intake and conduct less complex investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
