Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to guide leaders on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews while collaborating with HR and Legal teams. You will manage cases in the ER system and support compliance with company policies.

The role supports a flexible remote work arrangement across Eastern/Central time zones, with up to 25% travel and occasional meetings requiring travel. A strong ER background and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management, or related field with 2 years' HR/ER experience.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience supporting leaders with disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
• Knowledge of state/federal employment laws and union avoidance.
• Excellent communication across all levels; data interpretation and timely guidance.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work 100% remote when required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and involuntary termination reviews.
• Collaborate with ER team, HRBPs, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent, compliant outcomes.
• Manage employee relations cases in the case management system and Ethics Hotline.
• Interpret policies to educate employees and leaders on proper application.
• Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve ER processes and outcomes.
• Assist with information gathering related to legal complaints and charges.
• Serve as a backup ER intake resource as needed.
• Conduct less complex ER investigations and other duties as assigned.
