Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks an Employee Relations Business Partner to provide guidance and support across employee relations matters. The ERBP supports leaders with disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, involuntary termination reviews, and related investigations.

This role collaborates with ER teams, HR business partners, Legal, and others to deliver consistent, equitable, and timely advice aligned with company values. Remote work is possible with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (HR/Business) with 2+ years HR/employee relations experience or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience guiding leaders through disciplinary actions, performance issues, and terminations
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and union avoidance
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed and work 100% remote with occasional travel

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee relations matters with strong listening and investigative skills.
• Review disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews using Workday and ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with ER, HRBPs, Legal, and other teams to ensure compliant, equitable outcomes.
• Interpret policies and educate stakeholders to ensure consistent application.
• Own and document ER cases in case management or Ethics Hotline.
• Analyze ER trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support HRBP partners to foster a positive ER environment and timely issue resolution.
• Assist with data gathering for legal complaints and charges.
• Serve as a backup for ER intake and conduct less complex investigations.
