Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager – Employee Benefits to oversee benefits client management under Producer direction. Responsibilities include client service, team leadership, daily task direction for Account Coordinators, and driving productivity, quality, and service levels across the book of business.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in the industry, active licensing, exceptional customer service, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Active licensing is required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• High accuracy in handling large work volumes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring performance requirements are met.
• Deliver outstanding service, anticipate client needs and respond quickly.
• Lead the account team with a strong work ethic and collaboration.
• Direct daily activities of Account Coordinators and assign tasks.
• Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow IOA business.
• Manage new business setup, including data gathering and communications.
• Coordinate renewals and carrier rates, auditing processes.
• Build and improve client relationships and gather feedback.
• Advocate for clients and carriers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Identify and implement value-added solutions for clients.
• Support team training and promote a positive work environment.
• Maintain transparent communication with Producers and team members.
• Ensure adherence to policies and industry standards.
• Champion IOA core values and integrity.
