Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager – Employee Benefits to oversee a book of business and lead the account team. You will manage client service, renewals, data management, and implement benefit administration processes with Producer direction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the industry, active licenses, and strong communication and organizational skills. Remote/hybrid options are available in line with policy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of benefits/insurance industry experience.
• Active licensing required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, delegation, and decision-making abilities.
• High accuracy in handling large work volumes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring performance requirements are met and no liability occurs.
• Deliver outstanding client service, anticipate client needs, respond quickly to requests.
• Lead the account team with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist others.
• Direct daily activities of Account Coordinators, assign tasks, communicate expectations, monitor execution.
• Identify and act on sales opportunities to grow IOA business.
• Manage new business setup, data gathering, client file creation, and employee meetings.
• Manage renewals by verifying client data, updating files, and coordinating training.
• Build and improve client relationships and seek feedback for improvements.
• Advocate for clients and carriers to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Identify and implement value-added solutions for clients.
• Support team training and development and promote a positive work environment.
• Maintain transparent communication with Producers and team members.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
