Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Patient Access/Registration representative to greet customers, collect demographics and financial information, and facilitate the registration and checkout process. The role includes scheduling follow-ups, providing cost estimates, and liaising with Virtual Registration Representatives and Patient Schedulers.

The position may involve remote or hybrid options and day/evening/night rotations within the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient access and scheduling is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to collect and verify demographics and billing information.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to collect demographic and financial information.
• Gathers insurance cards and IDs and updates patient records.
• Collects co-payments and reconciles cash, reports deposits for revenue accuracy.
• Manages queues and supports clinical team as needed.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, and provides cost estimates and itineraries.
