Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on a mobile/field basis across light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks. The role requires ASE certifications and valid DOT credentials, with a focus on safety and quality service.

You will work in a remote-capable role while residing in the specified region, using company tools and TRAIT app to document work. Training and bonuses are provided, with benefits starting early in employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification required.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining; if 4 months or less, a DOT physical is required.
• Ability to determine the appropriate tools and equipment for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections, plus follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems; inspect and listen for malfunctions using test instruments.
• Manage parts inventory and company-issued service truck; upload repair orders and findings via TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals on estimates and purchase orders.
• Maintain safety checks and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
