Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light to medium repairs in a mobile/field setting. This role requires independent work, strong diagnostic skills, and adherence to safety standards.

This position offers a flexible schedule, DOT/compliance duties, and potential incentive programs. Candidates must meet DOT requirements, hold a valid license, and be able to work across regions with a service-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma/GED or higher in related field, and 3 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience in related field.
• Must possess hand tools to perform duties.
• Must obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations apply to the role.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Carry out minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, HVAC, fuel and drivetrain components.
• Test and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies.
• Upload RO details and photos using TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly.
• Work independently and manage daily schedule with high productivity.
