Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and on-site repairs for trucks in a dynamic mobile environment.

You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, manage parts on the service truck, document findings in the TRAIT app, and ensure safety through pre/post-trip checks and compliance with OSHA/DOT rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
• ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems)
• Ability to determine the type of tools and equipment needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck and reconcile regularly.
• Document work per company standards and upload RO findings using TRAIT app on an iOS device.
• Maintain service truck and conduct pre-/post-trip inspections and safety checks.
