Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You will work with engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios in multi-domain environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel to customer sites, labs, and demonstrations, with a 100% remote option depending on location. Bachelor’s in a STEM field and active SECRET clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related C5ISR field.
• Experience in systems engineering or defense technology roles.
• Security clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound and address operational needs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs; support RFI/RFP responses.
