Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM, to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements and emerging trends. You will work with Engineering and Business Development teams to demonstrate interoperability and field readiness of the StreamCaster portfolio across multi-domain environments.

The role requires up to 50% travel to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote work option depending on location. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer or related C5ISR field, or HS diploma with 5+ years’ defense tech experience.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen; background check and drug test required.
• 2–5 years experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure field trials, and support evaluations.
• Collaborate to ensure architectures are technically sound.
• Support business development with technical stakeholders.
• Prepare technical demos for low-signature, tactical edge needs.
• Travel about 50% to sites and labs.
