Job summary

Motorola Solutions, Silvus Technologies division, seeks a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM, to bridge RF capabilities with Special Operations customer needs. You’ll work with Applications Engineering to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across domains.

The role involves travel up to 50%, remote work option depending on location, and collaboration with SOF components. Candidates need a technical degree and security clearance; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms preferred.
• Background checks/drug test required and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and translate needs into radio solution designs.
• Plan network configurations and coordinate field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with BD to align technical work with strategic priorities and customer needs.
• Prepare technical demos and presentations for low-signature, field-ready networks.
• Support proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and end-to-end test architectures.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites, labs, and field tests.
