Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare eligibility or related roles.
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security Disability programs.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Tech-savvy with multiple software systems.
• Ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Comfort in fast-paced environments and independent work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate, conducting advanced screenings at bedside to assess eligibility for financial aid programs.
• Perform in-home visits to support completion of applications.
• Engage patients by phone to facilitate cooperation and document submissions.
• Guide patients through Medicaid, Medicare, disability, and charity care applications.
• Independently manage follow-up to ensure progress across multiple programs.
• Handle a high caseload, meet deadlines, and maintain KPIs.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and government agencies to resolve eligibility issues.
• Assist in onboarding or mentoring colleagues and share best practices.
• Communicate with clarity and empathy about financial responsibilities and options.
