Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Bryan, TX is seeking an Eligibility Advisor I to join the AES division. You will interview applicants, evaluate data, and determine eligibility for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid programs, with paid training.

This is a full-time, nonexempt role with telework eligibility, daytime shifts, up to 10% travel, and room to advance to Eligibility Advisor II after a probationary year.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; college hours preferred.
• Experience with customer service and data collection is implied.
• Ability to follow regulations and use basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants in person or by phone to determine eligibility.
• Evaluate data and enter information into an eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility.
• Process work per state regulations and approved procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
