Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and project management. You will prepare estimates, review proposals and bids, perform cost-value analyses, and coordinate take-offs across projects.

You will lead estimate activities, review bidding documents with the project manager and chief estimator, and utilize estimating software while visiting job sites to inform plans and drive cost-effective decisions. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction experience in estimating, coding requirements, and design/build and plan/spec estimating.
• Excellent communication skills including documentation and report preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical code.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors estimating activities for quality and accuracy of work.
• Reviews bidding documents with the project manager and chief estimator to determine general expenses, labor rates, and other costs.
• Utilizes estimating software to properly estimate projects.
• Surveys job sites as needed for scope of work and cost-effective planning.
• Composes estimate documents in an accurate, complete, and professional manner.
• Assists in interview procurement, proposal writing for RFPs, bids, and related reports.
• Ensure all estimates and RFPs meet customer and company satisfaction standards.
• Collaborates with purchasing to reduce material buyout risk.
• Partners with design teams on design build and design assist projects.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, and training to co-workers as needed.
