Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and project management activities, including estimates, bid reviews, and cost analyses. You will coordinate take-offs and cost data across projects, while interfacing with project managers and design teams.

This role can be fully remote or assigned to a local office, offering growth opportunities and exposure to diverse electrical projects within a leading specialty trade installation company.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year electrical construction estimating experience.
• Excellent communication, documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical contracts, plans and specifications.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical code.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors estimating activities for each project for quality and accuracy.
• Reviews bidding documents and works with project manager and chief estimator to determine costs.
• Utilizes estimating software to properly estimate projects.
• Surveys job sites as needed for scope and cost planning.
• Composes estimate documents in a professional manner.
• Assists in proposal writing for RFPs, bids, and related reports.
• Ensures estimates meet customer and company standards.
• Collaborates with purchasing to reduce material buyout risk.
• Partners with design teams on design-build and design-assist projects.
• Provides coaching, mentoring, and training to co-workers as needed.
