Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and project teams with estimates, bid reviews, cost analysis, documents, and value engineering.

You will lead take-offs, coordinate with design teams, and contribute to design-build and design-assist projects. Remote work or local office assignment are available. A minimum of 1 year electrical estimating experience and strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical estimating experience including contracts and plans.
• Excellent communication including documentation and report preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specs.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical code.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor estimating activities for each project for quality and accuracy.
• Review bidding documents with project manager and chief estimator to determine costs.
• Utilize estimating software to accurately estimate projects.
• Survey job sites as needed for scope and cost planning.
• Compose estimate documents in a complete, professional manner.
• Assist in proposal writing for RFPs, bids, and related reports.
• Ensure all estimates and RFPs meet customer and company standards.
• Collaborate with purchasing to reduce material buyout risk.
• Partner with design teams on design-build and design-assist projects.
• Provide coaching and training to co-workers as needed.
