Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and project management with estimates, proposal and bid reviews, document reviews, cost analyses, and bid processes. You will coordinate take-offs, gather subcontractor quotes, review plans, and assist in achieving accurate, competitive proposals for some of the industry’s most challenging projects.

Occasional site surveys and collaboration with design teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction experience in estimating, common code requirements, and design/build and plan/spec estimating.
• Excellent communication skills including high-quality documentation and report preparation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Must have extensive knowledge of electrical code.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors the estimating activities of each project for quality and accuracy of work; collects quotes from subcontractors and schedules tasks.
• Reviews bid documents with project manager and chief estimator to determine general expenses, labor rates, and other costs; utilizes estimating software.
• Surveys job sites as needed for scope and cost optimization.
• Composes estimate documents accurately and professionally; assists in interview procurement, RFPs, bids and reports.
• Ensures all estimates and RFPs meet customer and company conditions for satisfaction.
