Job summary

Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer focused on Power Distribution. You will design LV/MV power distribution products and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver reliable solutions.

The role involves component research, schematic development, and documentation supporting manufacturing, testing, and certification. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering and 1–2+ years of experience with LV/MV systems, electrical components,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 1–2+ years in electrical design or power distribution equipment.
• Experience with LV/MV AC systems and electrical ratings.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and documentation.
• Familiar with NEC, UL, and related standards.
• Experience designing switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design and support LV and MV power distribution products from concept to manufacturing.
• Research and select electrical components based on requirements and standards.
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, quality, and cross-functional teams.
• Support product validation, prototype testing, and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to design of switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, load banks, generators.
