Job summary

Applied Engineering seeks an Electrical Design Engineer, Power Distribution, to design and develop low and medium voltage power distribution equipment from concept to manufacturing and testing. You will research components, evaluate ratings, and prepare documentation while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and support LV and MV power distribution products from concept through manufacturing, testing and implementation.
• Research, evaluate, and select electrical components based on application requirements and system ratings.
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables for manufacturing, testing, certification, and customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, quality, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective power distribution solutions.
• Support product validation, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement efforts.
• Contribute to design and development of switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, load banks, generators, energy storage systems, and related equipment.
