Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer focused on Power Distribution. You will help design LV/MV distribution equipment, draft schematics, and generate documentation for manufacturing, testing, and certification.

Qualifications

• BSEE and 1–2+ years in electrical engineering or power distribution.
• Experience with LV/MV AC systems and switchgear.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical docs.
• Familiarity with NEC/UL standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or EPLAN.
• Experience designing power distribution products.

Responsibilities

• Design and support LV/MV power distribution products from concept to manufacturing, testing, and implementation.
• Research, evaluate, and select electrical components per requirements and standards.
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, docs, and engineering deliverables for manufacturing and certification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.
• Support product validation, prototype testing, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to switchgear, switchboards, transfer switches, load banks, and related equipment.
